Panacea
by Lauren Leppke
Panacea follows a story of a young woman dealing with grief in her life. As Maia struggles with this, she explores a variety of different coping mechanisms. Which ones define her? Which ones work? Through this we see a physical manifestation of grief and experience just what might be going on inside her head. This play of suspense and horror takes an inward turn asking the question, what does our own grief look like?
Lauren Leppke recently graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Performance. Through here time there she worked on various new plays and helped develop new stories for stage. She has expanded what she knows and is taking her new play to Theatre Crude. She is a playwright in her own right as well as director, stage manager and producer. She is extremely excited to bring this story to life in front of new audiences.
