Phrack
by Roadkill Theatre
Premiered online Tues 10/5/21 7p CT
In Roadkill Theatre’s first production, K8 Lacy plays Ray, an e-girl who lives with their Meemaw on a farm in the middle of nowhere. One day, Ray falls asleep while talking to an Artificial Intelligence online and leaves the computer open during a lightning storm, causing the AI to be downloaded into Ray’s old RC monster truck. What will Ray do with this newly sentient being they accidentally created? Find out in Roadkill Theatre’s world premiere of Phrack, a cyberpunk, neo-southern gothic LIVE digital production for the 21st century.
Roadkill Theatre is a local, organic, home-grown theatre company started by two artists from rural Oklahoma. K8 Lacy is a dynamic and visionary actor, writer, and director with a passion for rural subject matter, and Storm Fields is an intuitive artist with a keen eye for detail whose Potawatomi heritage inspires her storytelling. Storm and K8 bonded over their love for the Southern Gothic genre and Roadkill Theatre was born.
