Begin Again Badge
by Cristela Carrizales
Begin Again Badge is a bold, hilarious and heartbreakingly honest one woman show about what happens when life blows up - and those carefully earned badge skills aren't enough. From infertility to alcoholism, divorce to dating apps, this autobiographical journey turns pain into punch lines and survival into ceremony. When the old badges no longer fit, she sets out to earn new ones - for boundaries, breakdowns, and badass comebacks. With sharp wit and raw vulnerability, this show speaks to everyone who's ever looked at the wreckage of her life and thought, "Now what?" Go back and earn new badges. Bring your own damn sash.
Cristela Carrizales is a well respected actor, director, improvisor, and producer in the Oklahoma City area. The former Artistic Director of OKC Improv and the former Founder and Artistic Director of The City Cabaret OKC, Carrizales has had a history of success introducing OKC audiences to non-traditional entertainment. Belters
by Alix Golden
Zsa Zsa Gabor and Ethel Merman go toe-to-toe with Nazis in this zany, musical romp! When faced with a betrayal that sends them reeling, they must form a dangerous alliance and sing their way to victory. Inspired by Broadway musicals and Mel Brooks, Belters is a blitzkrieg of belting and bad accents. Singing, shenanigans and slapstick, it's Anything Goes by way of Inglourious Basterds. We asked Mr. Brooks for his comment on the project so lovingly inspired by his films. He had this to say, "I am not Mel Brooks. You have the wrong number, stop calling here." Needless to say, folks, you'll need to see it to believe it!
Alix Golden grew up in the theatres of Oklahoma City. A graduate of Classen SAS, Alix attended Adelphi University to earn her BFA where she co-wrote and directed This Is What We've Got So Far. Recent acting credits: She Kills Monsters (Carpenter Square Theatre), Mother Road, A Christmas Carol (Lyric Theatre), A Midsummer Night's Dream, Shakespeare in Love (Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park), Inherit the Wind (3rd Act Theatre Company), The Last Night of Ballyhoo (Jewel Box Theatre, Gem winner). This script is dedicated to her favorite film maker, Mel Brooks and Sheila, her favorite mom. Ronn Burton: Director- Music City Off-Broadway (2025 Drama Desk nomination). OKC Actor- Pirates of Penzance, The Thanksgiving Play, Dance Nation, The Play That Goes Wrong.

Defiance in Motion
by Daelan Galindo
This production is a bold reclamation of space in dance, challenging the industry’s narrow standards and proving that dance belongs to every body. Each piece explores themes of autonomy, identity, shame, and transformation, offering movement that is raw, emotional, and radically human. This isn’t just performance; it’s visibility, resistance, and healing. For those told they were too much or not enough, this show puts them at the center. It’s dance that dares to take up space. For those told to shrink, here, they rise.
Daelan Galindo is a self-taught dancer, choreographer, and instructor specializing in Hip Hop, Heels, Afro, and Latin styles. Rooted in his experience as a fat, queer, trans, and Latino artist, his work challenges dance norms and centers authenticity, visibility, and empowerment. He teaches at RACE Dance Collective and Francis Tuttle, fostering inclusive spaces for all bodies and skill levels. Performance credits include Cure 8, RACE's Hip Hop Nutcracker, The RACEy Show, and Purrlesque.

Don't Let the Sun Beat You Home
by Alex Tha Great
Don’t Let the Sun Beat You Home is a one-woman theatrical choreopoem that celebrates the resilience of Black women in America. Through five acts, it investigates the five major killers of Black women–chronic illness, childbirth, stress, police violence, and suicide–to illuminate the rampant experiences of Black women and the complexities of overcoming hardships. The title references the phrase, “Be home before the streetlights come on,” a common saying in Black households warning kids of the dangers that may lurk after dark. The show aims to remind audiences to brave the night, in order to reap the rewards when the sun rises. As Psalms 30:5 states, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” In essence, if you can make it through the night, your reward will be plentiful on the other side of your morning/mourning.
Alex Tha Great (Given Real Encouragement Amongst Turmoil) is a poet, actress, speaker, event curator, consultant, and philanthropist holding a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies. She is the Executive Director of the Right 2 Write Poetry Slam Festival, #4 ranked Woman Poet in the World, a TedX speaker, and community organizer known in her current home of Dallas and earlier roots of East Palo Alto, CA. Her poems have been published in several journals including The Cookout, Illya’s Honey, The Voices Project, The Legendary, and Linden Avenue and she is the author of four collections of poetry including Black Souls Dance on Beat (2015) and Weeping in Public Spaces (2022). Her solo project Don’t Let The Sun Beat You Home (2023) culminated her residency with Arts Mission Oak Cliff as a succession to her first one woman show Passport to Womanhood (2013) which was awarded Best One Woman Show by the Houston Fringe Festival. Her most gracious job is being mother to a vivacious 8-year-old girl and is balanced by a self-care routine involving peanut M & M’s, prayer, and much needed naps. She lives by the motto: Whatever you do, let it be bold!

FLOODED: An American Autobiographical Tale
by Cox Productions
Flooded allows audiences to examine the apparent American cultural crisis by exploring the current context of American identity. The play’s narrative reveals the disconnect between urban and rural America, juxtaposing positive elements like BBQ, country music, and community values with its darker aspects, such as opioid addiction, violence, racism, and various societal challenges. It emphasizes the need to confront the less savory facets of American culture in order to gain a holistic understanding. Through a collection of autobiographical events retold by two different voices, Flooded introduces the audience to a snapshot of the American experience—a collection of true stories, memories, and lived experiences gathered over the course of four years. This theatrical experiment aims to provide insights into the multifaceted nature of American culture. The presenter acknowledges the show's somber tone, questioning the underlying happiness of Americans and inviting the audience on a journey to understand the nation's deeper identity and to determine its future direction. As the narrative unfolds, the focus shifts to exploring America's roots, delving into the heartland, rural communities, and the individuals who form the lifeblood of the country. This retrospective approach sets the stage for a deeper understanding of where America stands today and where it might go in the future.

by Wil Rogers
Heard of the superstition that you shouldn't say "Macbeth" in a theater? There's probably a good reason! Why was this written? ...I don't know either! Sounded like a good idea at the time. I love Shakespeare and I love musicals. Don't you wish there were just more musical numbers and lightsabers in Macbeth? - When an ambitious leading actress is forced to take charge of a theatrical production in order to save the theatre, will the witches' prophecies become reality? Will she be destined to fail or succeed at any cost? Elizabeth may find that unchecked ambition leads to true tyranny.
Wil Rogers (no, not that one) is an actor, playwright, director, and teacher with a 35 year theatre addiction - including 18 of the 37 plays in Shakespeare's canon, Ash in Evil Dead: The Musical (‘14 & ‘19 Pollard Theatre), Freddy in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Harold Hill, El Gallo, Benedick, Mercutio, Claudius, Antony, Frank ‘n Furter, and John Adams. Wil has performed and directed in 19 seasons with OK Shakes, has written, performed, and directed over 40 productions for OK Children’s Theatre.

The Operating Theatre
by That's Really Interesting
Once upon a time, surgeries and dissections used to be attended by paying audience members. If you find yourself right this moment imagining being sandwiched between two squeamish strangers, while beneath you some nepo-baby surgeon battles an aggravated appendix, you might be the right audience for The Operating Theatre. It’s part-game show, part-choose your own...autopsy?, part-“street-theatre-cum-abbatoir” extravaganza. Will our surgeons prevail in the name of science? Or will the high inquisition give them a taste of their own medicine... AKA punishment by dissection?
That’s Really Interesting (TRI) is the creative endeavors of Reily Preston, an aspiring jack of all trades, mother of cats, and generator of goofball-ery. Reily studied Acting at OCU, and has since spent lots of time writing in her bedroom, occasionally curating music as her vampire DJ persona (Donna Veronica) and sinking years of her life into video games, looking at you, Stardew Valley. This is TRI’s first performance with the Theatre Crude Fringe Festival.

The Production
by The Unscripted Ensemble
“This is the most important thing we've ever done.” The stakes are high and the community is close-knit. Step into the rehearsal process for “The Production,” where a community theatre offers both belonging and pressure. What’s it like growing up within this strong collective - or is it a cult? As ensemble members bond, compete, and create together, they’re shaped by the group mindset and the influence of a powerfully manipulative leader. Experience the thrill, fear, and transformation of forging your identity under the spotlight of community, and question just how far a group’s influence can reach.
The Unscripted Ensemble creates immersive theatre through a collaborative devised process, where every member shapes the story and experience. Guided by artists with a deep background in devised, participatory performance, our work blurs traditional boundaries to engage audiences, emphasizing exploration, experimentation, and connection. We strive for thoughtful, dynamic performance that invites active participation, making each show a unique journey, crafted collectively by artists and audience alike.

Thank You, Places
by Next Stage
Set on the last night of a decades-long run, “Thank You, Places” invites audiences behind the scenes, where actors Liz and Bradley confront their past, present, and uncertain futures. Surrounded by makeup kits and memories, the pair reminisce about their glory days, missed opportunities, and the quirks of life in theatre.
Their discussions are sharp, funny, and profoundly moving. Through humor and heartbreak, the play captures the power of friendship, the cost of ambition, and the bittersweet beauty of knowing when to take your final bow.
Rodney Brazil is an Oklahoma City-based playwright and co-founder of Next Stage. His work has been a frequent highlight at the Theatre Crude Fringe Festival, where he has presented original plays including The Ultra-Conservative Theatre Summit, Naked Brunch, Meaningless, and the acclaimed Pricks! The Vaccine Musical. Last year, he collaborated with Holly McNatt, and directed Bromeo & Juliet at the festival.

WAX
by Avery Ann Wolfe
Icarus flew too high, burned, and fell to his death. A Greek tale of mythological hubris that has been told for thousands of years by thousands of voices. But never his own. Told through the blinded eyes of Icarus himself, Avery Ann Wolfe’s WAX melds myth, poetry, and divine knowledge to trace every moment of the 15-year-old’s brutal freefall from heaven to earth as he reckons with a fate he can’t control, or even understand.
Avery Ann Wolfe (she/her) is a queer playwright and actress, who graduated from the University of Oklahoma’s School of Drama. Her first play, Lascaux, was produced by Co.Arts Theatre Company in 2024. Avery’s plays are on the frontlines of modern theatrical experimentation, manipulating structure, text, and the very idea of “drama” itself. Previous credits include: The Battle of Cable Street (Co.Arts), Marie Antoinette (University of Oklahoma), Jane Austin’s Christmas Cracker (OSP), and Smokefall (Studio Theatre).
